Children of Sailors

from by Sulu Babylon

Children of Sailors is a new track for us and slows the tempo down temporarily before erupting into a powerful chorus. Again the track demonstrates Sulu’s wide range of experimental/alternative rock and I think it is safe to say that the band have put a huge stamp on the genre with their own genre and take on psychedelic alternative rock.

Children of Sailors

I tried to light a fire between us,
Without hurting myself or you
We had to put the fire out with great regret
Without the chance to see it through

This here is a double-edged sword
I’ve lied my way out of love just to crave to be adored

If you could predict tomorrow,
Would you live more today?

Because if I could then I wouldn’t waste a single moment
As sleepless nights have just become part of my day
And I’d be a part of you whilst you sleep, until you wake.
And I’d take a bruise from your hate,
so your heart doesn’t break.

I’ve lost sight on where to go
Cos on my map is doesn’t show
Where abouts your boat is sinking,
Il be there soon

You’ve got to give me a clue
'Cause honey this would have never happened if
I'd become part of you
There's days when I could have found you
But I never thought this through
And I've stopped the urges,
But why should I have to?

Keep breathing keep your head above the waterline
I’m steering towards you, I'll be with you in no time.
